| Very good points Jenny, Adrian. The fact I use the 424 all the time & the first I heard of these changes was by reading this forum. There is no real consultation is my conclusion. More like changes on the sly! The new route for the 485 will by pass Chartfield Avenue & just go along Putney Heath then left into Putney Hill disregarding anyone's views because the longer wheelbase makes keeping the old route impossible. The 424 buses are old & badly maintained hence the continual breakdowns. The exhaust fumes were mixing with the ventilation giving drivers headaches. One other point. The 424 is actually quicker getting to the bottom of Putney Hill than the 85..So much for the extra 15 minutes lol |
