Strangely the cinema bus stop has seemed more congested since the 220/270 were removed from it. I think it's down to the number of bus crew changes. However, I do agree that removing the 485 to Wandsworth should require the return of the 220/270 to the stop to assist the less able. The important point is that rather moaning on here, people need to respond to Tfl's consultation, perhaps copying in their local councillors with their thoughts. I find it odd that just as a new school is opening on the Common there will no longer be a through bus service from the Common to the far end of the Thamesfield Ward. What does the council think of that given I assume the idea is to encourage bus rather than car journeys to class. Also be aware that the single door bus currently running amongst the other vehicles on the 485 is no doubt the future. The longer vehicles would more than likely struggle down the side roads between Putney Hill and Putney Heath. However the short buses have capacity implications for some morning rush hour Hammersmith bound services. |
