Stephen - not that this has anything to do with the incident in question, nor is any of your business, but Dubai is not a "tax haven". You are prone to accusing others of things that are not true. You accused Mr Dilpesh Patel of working at Heathrow, which he flatly denied, and revealed the road where he lived. This is bullying in my book, and as a direct result of your flawed research and behaviour, we have lost an informed voice on this forum, who was trying, as I am, to give a balanced argument.
No one but you is claiming UK workers in the UAE are avoiding tax, and you have already been warned by others about this misrepresentation, to which I strongly object.
Of course I am aware of Google and Amazon, but I suggest in future you do the research, before all that is left on this forum is people who agree with you. I am not excusing Mr Wells' behaviour, simply demonstrating that those in the public eye behave equally badly, often worse. We should expect better.
The culprit in this pointless witch-hunt has been charged, apologised, so let's leave it at that.
As long as anyone without any regulation or insurance, let alone wing mirrors, can nip down to Halfords, don a leotard, and set off into the maelstrom that is London traffic, we will continue to see this sort of confrontation, and sadly, more death and injury.
Cycling, like internet use, can be very dangerous.
