Your comment about property prices is laughable - the average house price in the UK is less than 300k - Londoners are disproportionately wealthy (according to your logic they have all paid off their mortgages) compared to the rest of the country.

But anyway, back to some actual facts.

"In the tax year 2022 to 2023, approximately 31,500 estates in the UK were liable for Inheritance Tax (IHT). This represented about 4.62% of all UK deaths in that period"

So 95% of deaths did not result in an payment under IHT.

Tell me again why Sue thinks that even though she's in the top 5% that she should pay less IHT?
