I believe there are problems with Puffin crossings and that they can cause confusion for some pedestrians. However, I know I would prefer any green man signal rather than none at all and having to guess if it’s safe to cross. Another thing that happens to me at that Norroy Rd/PHS junction is that if I can’t see the green man, I try to look at the traffic signals intended for cars to see if they are red or green. If you are right by them, it’s impossible to see the colour of the lights, so you have to move back and then look up. Why is it so difficult to cross the road at this particular Pelican crossing? I think Putney pedestrians deserve better. |
