It is a source of constant amazement to me when designers and architects (with all due respect to the previous poster, Brian Cheves) produce proposals that are: 1. So totally lacking in character, imagination and sensitivity that they cannot even begin to be considered an improvement; 2. So completely out of sync with the surrounding architecture that its sole purpose can only be to look as out of place as possible; and 3. Was obviously lifted from an anonymous early draft for the side entrance of an airport terminal. In short - this is a design disaster of mammoth proportions with nothing to recommend it beyond the developer's all-too predictable obsession with maximising space usage at minimum cost. |
