It is a shame you last two gentleman have missed the point of this thread. Having read all these posts people are not objecting to redevelopment they are objecting to living beside high rise developments. People want redevelopment but not at 13+ storeys. Just a question - is the transport infrastructure in place to take these people on the trains? Or are we just hoping - if you build it the train companies will then increase capacity. How are these new residents ever going to get on an already overcrowded system. As for the last post words escape me. We already have too many laws and in any case such a law would be the direct opposite of the big society that David Cameron wants to achieve. |
