Well it certainly wasn't when it offered me a place to read Chemistry in 1964.

But now it seems to think 'unconscious bias' is important enough to spend its funds investigating.

Does that come under 'Science'. 'Technology' or 'Medicine' ?

Reading the link you provided gives little clue other than indicating that what was an outstanding higher educational establishment concentrating on real science is now spending the taxpayers money on some wishy-washy social science fad.

But why do you think it considers this topic so important ?
