Gerry, Just to clarify, I wasn't at the Last Night of the Proms yesterday, I was referring to earlier Proms this year (and previous years). This year's Last Night did seem spectacular - must catch up with Queen and Bill Bailey on iPlayer! And must get a debrief from my friend in Putney who was there - the waving of EU flags to Rule Britannia, and Land of Hope and Glory must look a bit surreal :-) I understand in a previous year some trouble makers had to be evicted by the RAH security. (Wish I had been there yesterday, we were struggling on the last stage of returning from visiting friends in St Albans and, of course, there was major disruption on the District Line to Wimbledon ... I note TfL now stress it's a Network Rail signal failure, and engineer work on SWR, so Hammersmith and 220 bus to Putney! Glad I moved to Putney for its multiple transport links ...)
