"..not eliminating it completely" Unfortunately two years in - people do not understand this. Possibly due to poor messaging by the government. All the measures have to be seen within the context of slowing the spread so as not to overwhelm the NHS. We never had a zero Covid policy. Obviously these individual restrictions may not make sense when put together - except they all slow the spread whilst keeping the economy running. It's not ideal IMO compared to the New Zealand approach (my preference) neither is it the Swedish approach unfortunately, but it appears the best the UK can manage. |
