Don't think you read past my first sentence. I said that car use needs to be tackled but primarily due to fossil fuel use. It is an indisputable fact that cars less than six years old issue a negligible amount of particulates through their exhausts. They have filters. The point that you have missed that if you make people poorer in a quest to tackle air pollution you will reduce life expectancy not increase it because the numbers from K&C show that income is a far more important factor. I'm all for working towards better air quality but over the top misleading claims will not help. |
