| I don’t really understand the hostility to the suggestion that we reduce our reliance on cars (not a car ban, just reducing car use). Everyone benefits. Essential motorists benefit from less congestion, as would those of us on foot and bicycles. I agree with others on this forum that it is a complex issue, but to me this is not an excuse for inaction. Most of us can make small changes to how we get around, even if we start with using the car less for, say, just one day per week and take it from there. |
