John, thank you. Just when you think things can't get any worse, they do. I am grateful to you for alerting levy payers to this. At least we have one conservator following the recent pledge by this charity to communicate with levy payers. I also shall write to the Charity Commission and would urge anybody else concerned about the continued maladministration to do the same. The conservators' failure to do their job has a direct and adverse bearing on the future of Putney Common. Regarding school numbers, I recall the Council saying that there was an urgent need for a new school in the area around Putney Common. The slow take up of places suggests otherwise. Actually, I remember Nick disputing the council's projections for school places several years ago and the council - and in particular Councillor Tracey - responded by saying that Nick was wrong and that he was just anti-school and anti-children. |
