| Where do you live in Australia? There has been a similar thing happening in Sydney where pub music is dying because the venues are closing. In Sydney its not that the rooms are turning into gastropubs but they are being used for "pokies" ie slot machines that are so omni-present in Australian pubs. A Sydney band called The Whitlams had a great song called "Blow up the pokies" about this. |
