I am not particularly against PR for it is obvious that the current system of a representative MP for each loosely defined constituency means that the views of many in any constituency do nor have their voice heard and hence their views are not represented in the HoC.

Perhaps each Party could produce a candidate list and dependent on the votes achieved then the top 'n' candidates go to Parliament.

I am not sure how they would then be assigned/aligned with a constituency and hence the individual voter

Though my MP has successfully chased up on my behalf some irritating failures of Royal Mail (late delivery of the Spectator: not a matter for a special sitting of the House !)

One cannot expect them to align with me on every issue.

Being able to call on someone from a bigger pool might overcome this.

That assumes of course they are not squabbling amongst themselves !
