| The 2016 agreement trashed by Trump took months if not years to negotiate. Vance pulled out of talks after less than 24 hours. He might have got somewhere if he’d tried a bit harder for a bit longer. That doesn’t assume Iran will fold on the issue of its nuclear material but longer, more detailed negotiations might achieve a result that is acceptable to the wider world, not just Trump. Anyway, beware Vance. He might decide to skip the next Spurs game and head to the Emirates to watch Arsenal instead. I doubt we’d let him in at Old Trafford ;) |
