Local public consultation 7 August - 18 September

The Post Office is planning on moving our branch to a new location, 197 Upper Richmond Road, SW15 6SG, (between Ravenna and Burstock Roads). Current location is 214 Upper Richmond Road. They say that, if the move goes ahead, it will change to one of their new main style branches.

They state that the move is part of a 3 year investment and support programme, and that there should be no further branch closures.

It will mean a modern open plan branch in newly refurbished premises, longer opening hours, same products and services, improved accessibility.

Opening hours will be Mon-Fri 09.00-17.30, and Saturday when they will open 09.00-17.30 (instead of 13.00)

They plan to keep one counter open for the same hours the shop stays open, which means 07.00-19.00 Mon-Fri, and Sat 09.00-17.30.  (That's good news)

They say it is 150 yards (137 metres) away from current branch.

The same  wide range of products and services will be available.

There will be FIVE serving positions, which will be a mixture of screened and open plan (I PERSONALLY DON'T THINK THAT'S ENOUGH, considering how crowded the Post Office gets at times)

Access would be level to the proposed premises, also a low level serving counter, a low level writing desk and hearing loop would be available at the counter.

Parking - 20 minute red route parking within 50 yards and pay and display in surrounding roads (same as you would use now)

Retail - cards and stationery

Proposed month of change _ OCTOBER

Think it's excellent news that it's not moving further away. Only concern is only having 5 counters
