Sorry Nick but it is actually essential for those who have mobility and balance problems, in my case MS. Also the entrance on the corner of Lacy Road is on a slight incline and while this would not be a problem for most people it is too precarious for me to negotiate, especially when wet or slippery underfoot. The entrance to the Exchange in Lacy Road actually makes it viable for me to shop at Waitrose (and the other shops) because I can enter and exit on level ground, and I'm sure this facility is useful to many others too even if only struggling with pushchairs and heavy shopping. The disabled bay outiside this entrance is also a real boon and I'll now hack off many and suggest that the other 3 or 4 parking bays are also converted to disabled bays. |
