Well it seems to be a fairly common moan - the lack of good secondaries. Didn't someone on the Ashcroft Academy thread, say it was 5 times oversubscribed? I have heard of someone living in my neighbourhood who couldn't get their child in there. It's going to get even more popular now it's received an outstanding rating by Ofsted. In a recent article in the papers about free schools, one mother in the "nappy valley" part of Wandsworth said there was a noticeable lack of teenagers where she lived, because families moved out when their children got to secondary age. They live in neighbourhood of the new Bolingbroke secondary free school. Where will you send your child when they reach secondary age, Matt? |
