| Obviously, Jonathan, by the country’s biggest problem I was referring to the country’s biggest economic problem, which is the centre of the debate around Brexit. Can anyone doubt that the huge welfare bill, which now outstrips the amount raised by income tax, is the cause of our economic malaise? To pay this bill taxes are at now at their highest level since the Second World War, representing 37% of GDP. This depresses growth and increases unemployment. Enjoy your bike ride. |
