| Mr Ixer 'Farage is significant in that he's managed to deeply divide the nation with the Brexit referendum'. Surely David Cameron called the Brexit referendum and so he is really to blame ? Farage is simply saying that he, as he always has, wishes the result to be honoured. And a large number of people agree with him. You of course do not support what Farage or what these people believe and would wish to over turn it - so you can scoot freely around Europe I believe. There's democracy for you ! And Farage is the most significant person in terms of recent UK politics for he has created a new political movement and Party that seems to be in tune with what many think. Is this not in itself 'good' ? 'Stay out of the EU and restrict and reduce if not roll back immigration' might sum up what these people believe and Farage represents. And this worries the leftist bien pensants such as you when a true working class body of voters make themselves heard. How different from the actions of and support for Starmer's Labour Party. What do they stand for ? They will soon be lead by Burnham who, unlike Farage, has never had a true job of any description outside politics since he left school. And seems to be back-tracking on every position both social and economic he supported previously as he sniffs power and wriggles to achieve it. Finally do you classify Farage ? Alongside Hitler and Stalin or Churchill and Kennedy ? |
