I think the main point is, irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the situation, Israel has lost the PR war. Whoever is responsible, people don't like seeing or hearing about dead and maimed children, and commentators who don't seem to care? Yes, those who don't know the history just look at dead innocent civilians. I think in Afghanistan and Iraq the allies at least apologised for their collateral damage, and provided medical assistance to innocent civilians? (And follow and medicine, etc?) That's the pragmatic answer. |
