A couple of things pop into my mind.

One being the go ahead by the Mayor for a development on London green belt in Feltham.

The second being Labour's decision to put solar panels on prime agricultural land. Therefore sacrificing food security for energy security. Local food mean less air/sea/road miles hence less global pollution.

The third being conservation areas and restriction on doors/porches & rooftop.

We should not be sacrificing agricultural land to turn in to solar farms (with huge transmission loss) especially as most government buildings (schools, hospitals, offices etc) do not have them. Nevermind flats & houses.

With regard to conservation areas - TV areas did not exist when they were built - but they are there - licence fee get out of jail card perhaps??

Properties need to adapt sensibly with a balance -  taking into account environmental issues and conservation issues. These are after all homes not palaces.

Most of these conservation properties designed to run off coal which as anyone who remembers was tough work from mining, delivery to heating and cleaning!

As noted in other posts the number of trees in Wandsworth being loss is a great concern we seem less green year by year despite the council propaganda.

What exactly is this deputy mayor of London for environment and energy going to bring to the table?
