Mr Kettlekey 'Does the GLA job come with a free house, free transport, 24/7 armed security detail, etc?' I have yet to find out what his job actually entails. Our MLA Leonie Cooper has referred me to the Mayor's Chief of Staff and so I will ask him for this chap's job spec and how his performance will be measured. However I doubt if it is as dangerous, time consuming and onerous as that of the PM ! 'If anything the council/government jobs tend to be slightly lower paid that their private sector equivalents, but then the state sector makes up for that a bit with more generous pensions than the private sector'. And of course getting dismissed for incompetence doesn't happen that often. Your pensions point is a good one. One ignored during all the brouhaha about junior doctors' pay.
