| Hi Ivonne. Thankyou for the link. It is the same device I was thinking about having but the wireless version because my existing doorbell isn't wired; incidentally both versions are now only £99 in the BF sale which is great price. Thankyou to Michael also for your input re the battery life and your advice. On reflection I can now rule out the wireless version completely because faffing about constantly taking the battery out to charge it is not viable for me to do and to be honest it wouldn't be my choice to do that anyway. Ivonne's point about having a second battery so one is always fully charged and ready to go is a good one because otherwise you would have a security system out of action for up to 6 hours! Or am I missing something obvious? Now I have to decide whether to have the wired option and pay an electrician to do the necessary work to install the thing? 🤔 |
