If you shop at Waitrose you get a discount on the parking - cost £1 for two hours. Just get them to do something electronic with the yellow plastic disc.

On the wider point Richard is absolutely right. We have to have a massive reset in how we run our lives. We all have carbon footprints we could reduce but the hurdles are significant as Ivonne points out.

In my view change will have to be imposed from the top however much the younger generation are actually doing what we need to do - giving up their cars, cycling or using public transport etc etc.  But it won’t be enough when some idle thoughtless people still drive in their 4x4s to the Sainsbury’s Local for a pint of milk.  Change from the top?  This government??  Any government??
