The article on the front page shows an admirable desire to do the right thing.

I hope this includes strict planning conditions for developers that any new homes are strictly environmentally sound.  For instance, solar panels, excellent energy conservation through doors, windows, etc.  I'm sure there are many other things that could be added.

Also, that any new driveway, or covered over ground space (apart from pavements, but why not?) must be porous to allow rain to soak through.  Rain catchment such as rain barrels to water gardens and green spaces and so on... I don't know that much, but I know there are many ways available to make our city more green.
