Not so long ago we stayed overnight in Oxford where we could see the automated production of the mini - all night long - and the just-in-time delivery of parts happened all night long too.  I found it fascinating.

That must be what is happening with the supermarkets re-stocking their shelves too.  They tend to have an amount of loo paper every morning.  We throw so much fat down the sewers nowadays (which we shouldn't) that if we go back to the squares of newsprint hanging on a string in the outside privy solution we will have some really big fatbergs and blocking and backing up of the drains.  Yuck.
