| You will notice Lucille that i did not list France, as i have not been there. I did however list 3 EU countries i visit a lot (compared to your one), but did not list the other countries i have visited in Europe as i did not feel it was fair to do so because its not that often. I think even the UK could do with having water fountains in the streets to fill up water bottles, something they do a lot of in Latin America and places like Thailand. I find it strange that more less developed countries have this but places like here don't; privatisation maybe? The thing is Lucille it wasnt to knock those countries, it was more of a general point to say where i feel that the EU have failed. Even things you are 'pro' can be lagging in other areas, don't you agree BTW - out of interest do you actually live here or in France? I ask because my mother now has to apply for leave to remain status and wonder if you need to do the same in France? |
