I'm with you Lucille. As you point out, those areas that have been successful have taken steps to support a mix of independents and chains, and rebalance High Streets/Town Centres sense of place with movement of traffic. PHS has completely lost this balance, and is lacking a sense of urgency in correcting it. I would really encourage the BID and our local councillors Locker, Ryder and Torrington to get a move on, adapt the successful examples you have highlighted (and others), and support our local independent businesses. The traffic design plans for PHS are moving way, way too slowly. Report after report (after report) shows this would be money well spent. |
