It has raised awareness of climate change.  Just the idea of having their flights to the other parts of the globe disrupted will have created discussion.  Parliament where this should be discussed has been hijacked by a few self-serving MPs and it isn't getting the attention it should.  We should be working to improve the insulation and ventilation our homes so that we don't reach for an electricity switch so often and that any energy is clean by choosing clean energy and generating our own.  Many new flats are being built so small that cross ventilation won't be possible by opening windows.

This UK is lagging behind in changing and we could all do something or something more to reduce our carbon footprint and damage we are doing instead of expecting and waiting for someone else to sort it out for us.

There are streets which make their own energy and sell it to each other.  There are schools creating their own energy from solar panels on their roofs.  Also looking at what happens when it rains - with sudden very heavy downpours -  or droughts - what are you doing to improve the soil to need less water or to avoid flooding?

We could all do something.
