| With regard to Emma Thompson "flying in from LA" doesn't she have a home here and she would be unlikely to walk, swim or cycle here? As an activist for environmental change I'm sure that she would be doing several things whilst in each place. How many people "pop to the shops" in their cars unnecessarily but just because they can - when they could a) go without; b) substitute something else; c) change to something else; d) better organise so they haven't run out; e) always do several things at a distance by car at the same time; f) share with someone else; g) cycle (there are lots of different sorts of cycles including tricycles and cargo cycles and e-cycles); h) walk or jog! A previous closure of Hammersmith Bridge inspired a group of workers to start cycling. |
