| Interestingly, even Melanie Philips, who you would expect to join the pitchfork mob (well, I would have expected it, anyway) argues in favour of Begum receiving legal aid in her column in the Times today: "Revulsion and fury — however justified — at someone’s depraved behaviour should never be used, though, to refuse that person a legal defence of something as fundamental as their citizenship.
