| My perspective is that S44 should only be used where necessary and when there is corroborative evidence evident. I think it is a powerful piece of law to combat terror but only that, common sense needs to be applied. I think it would be obvious to the authorities who is a tourist/genuine photographer and who isnt, by their behaviour. So this law should not be abused. The Police need the public on their side, working with them and not against. It shouldn't be used as an excuse to abuse power. |
