| You don’t have to take my word about Nick Robinson, Richard. Robinson himself apologised for telling Boris Johnson, then Prime Minister, to ‘stop talking’ while he was attempting to answer a question on ‘Today’. As for Emily Maitlis, the BBC itself said she was ‘completely wrong’ for telling ‘Newsnight’ viewers that Dominic Cummings had ‘broken the rules’. Thankfully Robinson has recently resisted the temptation to make self-important assertions and Maitlis has been moved on. On the other hand I cannot remember a single occasion when Jeremy Corbyn was treated disrespectfully or when BBC presenters took it upon themselves to editorialise about his policies. |
