Ivonne, it is perfectly legitimate to criticise Israel and Israeli politicians like Netanyahu. Many Israelis criticise their own government. The issue is whether the criticism is fair and proportionate. Often it is neither and sometimes it can border on antisemitism. For example:

1) subjecting Israel to relentless criticism while passing over the crimes committed by other countries like China, Russia, Sudan and Myanmar, to name just a few

2) presenting a one sided view in which the Israelis are depicted as aggressors and the Palestinians as victims, even though Hamas, which was voted in by the people of Gaza and still retains widespread support, actually carried out an appalling attack on Israel which it threatened to repeat 'again and again'

3) judging Israel by standards which are never applied to other countries, in that the Israelis are described as war criminals when Palestinian civilians are killed while Allied airmen in the Second World War who killed half a million German civilians are regarded as heroes

4) making false accusations of genocide against Israel in a deliberate reference to the genocide perpetrated by the Nazis.

Where I would agree with you is that the some of the posts on this topic are couched in unnecessarily aggressive language and should be toned down.
