| The postponement of the closure was already reported on the front page. There is no doubt the whole thing has been mishandled. Regular users not being consulted about the closure is just insulting. It could be that this was a result of timing around the election. However, I think if Places Leisure start again and do it properly this time, outlining fully the rationale for the changes, there might be more buy-in as the arguments in favour are quite strong. I suspect cost issues, particularly relating to energy, mean the changes are going to go ahead whatever but this provides no excuse for the way it has been handled. |
