| When people are not feeling flush they don't go out to eat as often just as they don't go out to drink in pubs as often. This is why so many pubs also do food and also function as community meeting places where people can meet for clubs and coffee and IT help etc. This is an important flexible use for them and for communities. Wars also split families and communities up a lot as they travelled further for the first time and often met and married partners from other parts of the country and never moved back to their family roots. |
