| Mr Ixer 'criticising the immigration into a country which is no longer his primary resident.' Not sure he was criticising, rather than commenting on the consequent effects regarding net costs. As regards immigrants satisfying a need as regards labour shortages there are apparently 1.68 million people people claiming unemployment related benefits in the UK. These are actively seeking work. The latest available figures from the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) show there were 8,400,344 people in Britain claiming universal credit (UC) in December 2025. These on the whole are not, usually claiming 'health issues' from preventing them doing so. This is the cost Ratcliffe is referring to. |
