David, are you serious about Jimmy Clitheroe in Hotham Rd? I worked in Cork Street, W1, for many years. It was celebrity central because it is a quiet road close to Bond Street, and at ground floor level full of art galleries. One day I bumped into Christopher Lee, looked up at him and thought it’s Dracula! Saw Dustin Hoffman and his wife and they smiled because they knew I recognised them. The 2 mega stars that I was really thrilled to see were David Bowie when he came to open an exhibition of his art. And Paul McCartney when he and Linda were opening an exhibition of Linda’s photographs. |
