| Oh, Paul Copley. I am always happy when I hear his voice on the radio. Never met him - yet. Jimmy Clitheroe asked me for either the time or directions on Hotham Road. Maureen Lipman sitting beside us and briefly chatting with my wife in a theatre (audience) in Hampstead. Ian Hislop in a TV shop in Clapham Junction. I bought a video recorder (burgled 3 months later). One of the Great Train Robbers, possibly Buster Edwards, pointed out to me, at a distance, by somebody who would know, near Southfields Station. Willie Rushton, in the Duke's Head. I wanted to go over and thank him for making me laugh so much over the years, but I didn't want to bother him, and have always regretted not thanking him. |
