| *Shocking content 4 Days ago Katie Lam, the young Conservative MP for Weald of Kent, made the most powerful and shocking speech I have ever heard in Parliament, and I am not easily shocked. She was calling out the lack of action from the Government, and Jess Phillips in particular as the Under Secretary of State for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls, for not following up on Labour's pledge, made in January, to hold 5 local inquiries into the Pakistani rape gangs. Local inquiries are just not good enough because the disgusting abuse of predominantly white girls by Pakistani rape gangs was, and still is, a nationwide scandal and there needs to be an urgent and fully independent National Inquiry.
