| Hello Ed, I think I did not express myself properly before. I was as suprised as anybody else when I heard about this appointment. Hence my comment that career diplomats must not have been too impressed. You ask at what point is someone considered unfit for public office. Well, it seems to me that it all depends on who the backers are..... I'll leave it at that. As for the Nolan principles - do you, hand in heart, believe they really apply nowadays? Also, please note how far down the list is Honesty...... 1. Selflessness 2. Integrity 3. Objectivity 4. Accountability 5. Openess 6. Honesty 7. Leadership |
