One beautiful building which will probably not be with us for much longer is the former West Hill Library. The Museum is moving out and so is the wonderful De Morgan Centre which displays William De Morgan's exquisite pottery and his wife Evelyn's paintings in the setting of the Longstaff Reading room. Attempts have failed in the past to get the Reading Room listed so we will also lose this Victorian gem. Who knows what the Council will do with the building - a prime site for development presumably?

Both the Museum and the De Morgan Centre close on Saturday so just time to hurry along before they are no more. On Friday (tomorrow) the Museum & Cafe is open 11 -4pm and De Morgan 12-4pm. On Saturday both are open from 11am - 5pm.
