Topic: Very interesting piece on Putney in the 1950s

It was in The Guardian Review at the weekend, and was by the historian (and much else) Tony Judt, who died recently. In it he describes living in Putney as a child between 1952 and 1958, and it's full of fascinating detail: "My London: In a previously unpublished essay, the historian Tony Judt recalls growing up in Putney – the bus routes, the sweet shops, the scruffy banks of the Thames."
