| It was in The Guardian Review at the weekend, and was by the historian (and much else) Tony Judt, who died recently. In it he describes living in Putney as a child between 1952 and 1958, and it's full of fascinating detail: "My London: In a previously unpublished essay, the historian Tony Judt recalls growing up in Putney – the bus routes, the sweet shops, the scruffy banks of the Thames."
