Here's what I reckon: We all give various people tacit permission to come onto our property; postmen, paper boys, delivery men etc in order for them to fulfil their function on the understanding and belief that there is no nefarious intent, or at the very least disadvantageous to yourself. In the case of your guy that is probably not the case and therefore he would have been denied permission to enter the property had he asked in advance. So therefore yes he was trespassing which is of course unlawful. |
