Most car journeys are under 2 miles - walkable. Here are my suggestions: 1. Get out Walk 2. Cycle 3.  Use the damn buses 4.  Park and Ride by the A3 near Asda if you are coming in further - other cities do it, why can't we? Park your car and have a bus that takes you directly non stop to Hammersmith.  5.  Make it law to car share into central london All fairly cheap and cost effective ways of reducing the traffic hell. Oh and why was I able to fly down the hill and the high street today in rush hour when it would normally be choked with traffic? Nothing to do with the fact that schools are on holiday and the traffic is mainly caused by school traffic perchance?
