A report to the Wandsworth PCT Trust Board on 3.6.10 gives the present position on plans for the site. This amounts to very little progress during the last year ie. "Undertake an appraisal to find the best and most achievable solution ..."  Result to be presented to the September Board meeting. The report goes on for 12 pages of officialese and brings in all sorts of issues to do with Primary Health in Putney. From my reading of it, which may of course be faulty, these are the points relating to the Putney Hospital.

They are still looking for a site for the relocation of the three Putney GP practices.

The recommendation to the Board re.the old hospital was to "Enter into Section 106 and then demolish ...."  with the proviso that the costs of this option can be reduced. Maintenance and security on the site are at present costing the PCT £20,000+ a month.

"The completion of Sec 106 would secure the planning consent and allows the PCT to retain options for the site and provides evidence for acceptance of a large/tall development in the area" (ominous?)

It seems that the PCT are sticking to the plans for dual development ie. private residential and a health/education or similar provision.

The Thamesfield Councillor's very useful monthly bulletin (see SW15 main site)comments on a possible Primary Free School plan for the site.

I do not know whether the June PCT Board accepted the recommendations put forward in the paper. The September Board Meeting might be worth attending.
