Why is it always the Audit Conmission? An audit is speaking from a financial viewpoint only. Saying these community assets are a burden to the council & US as a community. Ounce these improvements have been done I doubt anyone will be able to use these facilities as they used to. The Tennis courts will be locked etc. The council have been selling off community assets. In this case so they save us 56p a year.....Charming I'm sick of hearing praise from The Audit Conmission. When they have no interest in our quality of life. When it concerns community assets Wandsworth have GIVEN our playing fields away, under the banner 'save 56p.' Only 25% of the time will the fields be open for people other than Putney High School or Roehampton University to be able to use the grounds & a lot of these times are in the morning when no one wants to use them! That's what I've heard. Maybe Cllr Madden will be able to stop shining his council badge for a moment & give us the facts concerning how this 'sell off' effects people using the fields in the future other than the school & university. I bet ounce these so called improvements are done the fields will be surrounded by high 'secure' fencing..... |
