At the end of The Times article, it mentions “a Georgian house in north London saved with the help of Tottenham Hotspur FC”. It doesn’t say what Georgian house but I hope more football clubs, and other wealthy organisations and businesses, follow the lead of Spurs and help save our country’s heritage. Barbara, I’ve never heard of the Rochester Sweeps and wondered at first if it was a chimney sweep convention! I looked it up and it is a morris dancing and folk dancing festival. We enjoy watching Morris dancing, and haven’t seen any for years. Are there any locally? |
